What teaching "problems" are you working on/thinking about this summer?
I am going to work on writing concept questions for use in peer instruction in my courses next year. I'm also going to read up on cooperative learning to improve the "pathogen report" I have students do in my microbiology course. This assignment has evolved from a disaster assignment to something better. I would like to take the project one step farther. Will group reports help students apply course material better than when they research a pathogen individually?
